#54: new cyclocross bike?
At this point, I am at a crossroads. I had been saving money up to buy a TT bike, but prospect of updating my cross rig is very intriguing. My plan right now is to buy a cross bike from a teammate (for the parts) and move everything over to a Ridley Crossbow. I think once I finish that build, I will have a 19.0 - 19.5 lb. bike that is more race ready than my 23# Cannondale XS800. The front shock on this bike is a nice idea, but adds a lot of weight to the bike and most of the time, I really don’t need it. I plan to demote this bike to my B-bike and have it ready to go in the pits at KC and other races this year.
I will make the final decision tomorrow, but I am about 90% sure I am going to do this. It will be a good day - after - Thanksgiving project….
On another note, I transistioned from using the 1&1 built-in WordPress blog to using the more customizable install it yourself WordPressblog. So far I have been only successful at making the header image work. Eventually I plan to have a set a images rotating on the header, etc. Don’t be surprised to see radical changes each time you check this out.
